Clinical queries, medication queries or requests, and appointment bookings or cancellations will not be actioned if sent to this email address; please either use our SystmOnline service or call the surgery.
Telephone calls are recorded for security and training purposes.
When you call the surgery, the receptionist may ask you some more detailed questions in order to make sure you are seen by the most appropriate person.
To make things easier for our patients and reduce the early morning rush on the phones, we offer a call back service.
If you ring the practice to book an appointment but there aren’t any available at that moment, we can add you to the call back list. This means you won’t need to keep trying again yourself.
Once you’re on the list, our Reception Team or Care Coordinators will contact you within 72 hours, often the very next morning, with a suggested appointment date. They’ll try by phone up to three times and will also send a text message to keep you updated.
This service helps make sure appointments are offered as fairly and quickly as possible, while saving you the stress of waiting on the phone.
The dispensary is open from 8:30am to 12pm and from 12:45pm to 6:30pm.
Extended Access & Out of Hours
Non-urgent advice: Extended Opening Hours
On one weekday evening (6.30pm to 8pm) there will be a surgery, primarily for those patients unable to attend during normal surgery hours. The day on which it will be held is advertised two weeks in advance and appointments are bookable a week in advance.
Non-urgent advice: Better Access – More Routine Primary Care Appointments
Additional routine primary care appointments have been made available to people living in our region.
Patients registered at GP practices in Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby can pre-book a routine primary care appointment between 6:30pm and 8pm weekdays. This is not a walk-in service – please speak to a receptionist to book your appointment.
Non-urgent advice: When We Are Closed
If you have an urgent medical problem during this time and you need to speak to a Doctor, please call NHS 111.
NHS 111 is the number to call when you need medical help fast but it’s not a life-threatening emergency.
In life threatening emergencies such as chest pain and severe shortness of breath you should call 999
Further information can be found on your Urgent Problems page.
