Face mask wearing at the Surgery

"Face coverings and face masks will continue to be required in health and care settings to comply with infection prevention and control (IPC) and adult social care guidance. This includes hospitals and primary or community care settings, such as GP surgeries. They must also be worn by everyone accessing or visiting care homes."

The above is an extract from, Face coverings: when to wear one, exemptions and what makes a good one - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

After the governments announcement, re: Living with COVID,  Wearing of face masks will still be required in health care settings.  We are following NHS England’s infection control measures, to protect vulnerable patients and staff.

If you arrive at the practice without a face mask you will be asked to put one on.  If you refuse you will be asked to wait outside and the clinician will decide if they are willing to see you.

This is policy, so please don’t challenge the reception staff.

Thank you for your cooperation and help in our continued efforts to keep everyone attending the surgery safe.

Yours in health, Mayford House Surgery.
