Living Well

Living Well is a service provided to adults who are struggling with various aspects of day-to-day life. Every Friday morning, each week, we provide four 45-minute appointments with a living well practitioner who will explore with you whatever you are finding difficult. Then, together, you will be able to discuss how to tackle the issues and improve your well-being. The service is appropriate for almost all kinds of problem, but some examples include loneliness, bereavement, loss of support networks, loss of confidence, finding a way into employment, carer related problems and many more.

If you feel you would benefit from an appointment with living well, you are able to book into their clinic without seeing a doctor first. Please speak to reception to book an appointment now.

Blood Pressure Charts

What does the Blood Pressure Chart Application Do?

If your doctor asks you to use a blood pressure recording machine at home for a period of a day or more, you will need to record the readings each day on a paper form. At the end of the monitoring period you will send in the form to the surgery.

This application replaces the need for the paper form because it allows you to enter your readings online. As soon as all your readings have been entered for the period you are monitoring (e.g. a single day, or any number of days up to a maximum of seven), you can send the form directly to the surgery without the need to use the post or a visit in person.

Another advantage is that the average blood pressure calculations are calculated automatically eliminating possible errors and saving administration time within the surgery.

Non-urgent advice: Spring/ Summer 2022

We are advised by NHSEI, BMA and RCGP that travel vaccinations remain a low clinical priority, set against the context of the wider pandemic NHS recovery, patient access, long term condition management and offering the Covid vaccination programme.

However, we recognise that they remain important to our patients, so we protect a proportion of nurse time to deliver every week.

We will endeavour to do what we can but given the wider demands on our time which are clinically urgent, you may be advised that the time window for your vaccinations is inconvenient for your travel plans.

In this scenario if we have no availability to accommodate your needs, we will signpost you to local private travel providers, who may also be able to serve any additional needs for e.g. Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis; meningitis vaccines; rabies; tuberculosis (TB) and yellow fever.

You will need to complete our Travel Risk Assessment Form and return it to the surgery  by handing in to our reception team.

We also have a Travel Advice Leaflet which will provide you with further guidance on your travel requirements.
